I started out working on VWs when I was in my late teen years. I had to keep the Beetle that I drove up and going, mainly because I wasn't really nice to it. When the engine "let go" the first time, it was taken to a mechanic across town and he told me that there wasn't a problem with their work, they were the best. It blew up a week later.

I was really disappointed, and felt betrayed. I always said that I would not do things like that to others, no matter what. I have always kept my word on that. The main point is that honesty and integrity in a person is the most important aspect of dealing with others. I have carried that everywhere I go and everywhere I've worked.

The best VW years were when I got to work with the truly experienced mechanics, and I did a whole lot of listening and very little talking. Working with those guys helped me to get the necessary skills and knowledge to work on these cars.

It is my belief that the better a customer is informed, the better consumer they become. I also believe that if it isn't broken, don't fix it. In repairing of the cars, or supplying the parts, the customer's needs and concerns should be the most important goal to reach. I did that then, and I do that now, and I will only do that in the future. That is how I am, and how I will stay.
